From everything that I am reading (I am interested because my parents are pretty old, but in pretty good health) the quality of life for older Americans has improved substantially in the last couple of decades. Have you checked senior exercise programs, senior college courses, senior dances etc., etc. lately? They seem to be having lots of fun. Life expectancy as well as quality of life for seniors has gone up substantially. I live among seniors here in South Florida and the difference to the better between now and 20 years ago is phenomenal.
