Go with the flow. Definitely. Life is change. One person's problem is another person's opportunity.

I can accept that, but I doubt that most Americans can. Too many people expect the government to protect them from change. We have new tariff on steel. We still have tobacco farmers expecting consideration for their loss of market after all these decades or the shortage of water in Oregon. Mail is being pre-treated for anthrax to the point of destroying much of the contents of the envelope and little old ladies have to take off their shoes to get on an airplane so that people are spared that small risk. What will happen when Florida goes under water--if Florida goes under water?

Perhaps the science is not good enough to warrant massive expenditures to ward off global warming. But the government needs to at least think through the consequences of sitting back and allowing it to happen and put together the basis for a contingency plan and budget. It wouldn't cost a lot and it's the least we can do, IMO.
