There is significant inflation...it's all concentrated in the stock prices (so far ). Stock prices are climbing faster than GNP and earnings. The reasons that it has not spilled over into general prices are pretty much as you stated. Historically, stock price inflation has eventually spilled over into into the general economy, presumably because people want to spend some of their profits.
