But the pollution is terrible. That's what I've heard. That was a major deterrent. Plus being away from my wife for six months. (I'd already done that about 3 years earlier and neither of us was eager for a repeat.) Trying to figure out the etiquette and rules of the road was fun Interesting definition of "fun": "Let's see if I can figure this out before I get killed." OTOH, I've driven in Mexico City which is also "fun". (In Japan I stuck to cabs. However, I've a suspicion that their cab drivers are all leftover kamikaze pilots.) how they dealt with riders who capsize (ignore them). Not run them over? The markets were interesting, too, except that seeing kitties and puppies on sale for din-din was hard to take. Good thing I didn't go. I'd be highly tempted to turn that into a capital offense. (I love dogs.) They hang bamboo mats from the beams in high-rise construction. Is that to catch falling workers? (I;'m not sure if a :-) goes with that or not.)
