I agree with you nspolar on the general money flows. But I think that IF the market tanks, everything will tank... including the shares of most GOLD/Silver companies. Most people will want to cash out of the market in the belief that cash will be a haven... just like the Japanese have done & would also replicate the North
American experience of the 1930's & again in the 1970's.

And we know what the price of GOLD did back then, along with the shares & most importantly the dividends of a few GOLD mining companies.. such as NEM, HM etc.

I personally do not think the POG ('da ole yellow relic) itself will tank. It has already been tanking for over 20 years... & has bottomed out IMHO.

The problem as I see it is to select the best non-hedged (senior) producer (NEM) & assorted intermediate & explorers to ride the wave into hard asset territory.

Still think that we r in a secular bear market... although I must admit, I enjoy going long in various sectors to ride 'da dose short-term "pops".

My exit strategy in case I'm completely off base here is to ride my longs until I'm stopped out in whatever sector I play.

Of course I maintain a more or less fixed percentage in PM's (GOLD & Silver. Just in case I'm wrong on da longs.

Regards,
Peter
