I don't bother with the salt, pepper, and lemon. Roasted veggies are just fine as is--just olive oil. I haven't tried green beans. I've done mushrooms, chinese eggplant, asparagus, broccoli, cauliflower, beets, and pea pods. I think that's all. I'm so glad you guys pointed me toward roasting. My oven had that brand new shine until I got hooked on roasting. I can't believe anything that tastes so good is also easy, easy, easy and healthy, healthy, healthy. Almost too good to be true.

The best cauliflower I ever had was in a Brazilian restaurant. It was served with an avocado/anise sauce. I'd never had anything like it. I talked about it once before on Beanies and I recall Neo looking for a recipe, too. No luck. I was able to approximate it but no cigar.

I'm finding the internet is letting me down more and more lately, especially on food. A few days ago I spent considerable time looking for a recipe for Baltimore style cheesecake without success. I had some last week for the first time in a couple of decades and it was wonderful. Maybe it's best that I can't find a recipe...

Regarding the article, I found especially interesting how people chose their new religions--they pick what their friends are into and the belief follows. I have the article stored where I can get at it again. It's a keeper.
