Well, Dave the A in CVA stood for Aircraft and V heavier than air, but as time passed VA became attack aircraft and VF became figher aircraft and the CVA used both, thus we now have CVN's vice CVAN's. This policy is the first time the US has EVER POSTULATED USING NUCLEAR WEAPONS SINCE the attack on Japan in 1945 in other than defensive and retaliation. The nuclear clock is one second before midnight
