AMD's Sanders' departure set for next month host.wallstreetcity.com SAN FRANCISCO, Mar 08, 2002 (AFX-UK via COMTEX) -- Advanced Micro Devices Inc said Jerry Sanders' departure as chief executive officer will happen next month, and he will be replaced by president and chief operating officer Hector de Ruiz. Sanders, one of the chip company's co-founders, will continue as chairman until 2003. The announcement was made in a filing with the Securities and Exchanges Commission. The company also said that it expects gross profit margins in the first quarter to March to be "relatively flat" compared with the previous three months.
