Could you please quantify what a Bunch is? you said;

prospects that I might buy now. AND believe me, in the mid to large-cap area, there
are not very many to choose from.

Try NOC or TRW , if your really doing a Bunch of research you might have found out why these large caps are growth companies on their own.
