Dan, Re: "Re: Maybe the problem is that the OEMs are not ready with their designs >> That's pretty much what Mike Magee reported in one of his story's - that Intel jumped the gun on the official release of the parts by about a month, catching all, or all but Dell, by surprise and infuriating the other notebook vendors."
Not just Dell, but also IBM and Toshiba. And if you think it's infuriating to the others that are late with their design, think how infuriating it would be to Dell, IBM, and Toshiba if Intel said, "Thanks for getting your designs finished early, but we're going to wait for all your competitors to catch up before we sell you our products." You seem to be suggesting that Intel should have waited for more designs before shipping. I think they did the right thing, and went with the OEMs that had their designs ready. And realistically, three global distributors with a high profile launch like this are plenty.
But I assume you will continue to spin this negatively, since it's upsetting to you that AMD is so late with their Mobile Thoroughbred. And believe me - I'm upset, too, since I also own AMD stock. But your lies aren't going to make AMD get it out any faster.
