But, it seems the "all the people" part goes in the dumper when really sensitive types demand that others not respond, directly or indirectly, to their comments.

And imo, that is blaming the victim, when "their comments" consist of lurid claims, references to personal family matters and other non-public issues, and insinuated threats to reveal private correspondence; and when "their comments" are made by following the person from thread to thread, board to board, and have involved an apparent fixation so disconcertingly and peculiarly strong that actual threats to sue for the right to continue this following-Mary-around were made (by John.)

I can take a lot. I couldn't take that, and stay here. It would make me suffer.

Fortunately, for everyone but that guy John (I think his name is), there is the simple, straightforward toorabout arrangement.

(John and Mary are CH and Poet, of course. It has been pointed out to CH often enough that it will make sense for those who protest his ravenous engagement with an unwilling object to attend to his requests not to continue protesting it when he stops doing it. So I've made a joke of something not all that funny.)
