" Any nuclear device used in warfare whether large or small is a direct threat to every human being.I have to agree with this statement almost entirely. I agree nearly 100% with the above statement. The first use of one size, may lead to the the need for one just one size larger. That is human nature. After the first the second is easier etc and I would guess there wouldn't be the same horror involved in the initial use of a "limited" "battlefield" nuclear device as we observed in Japan. That would then curtail strong objection to continued and more widely applied usage. However, that is not to say that all scenarios should not have some type of reaction and just as we did not believe such an event as 9/11 would/could occur, there are no doubt situations that would/could occur that we also have not fathomed as yet. That would lead me to believe that certain scenarios would benefit with defensive reaction by some type of nuclear usage, if only to isolate and retard a situation of incredible proportion and provide time to develop a less dangerous and consuming total response.
