Gosh, I thought I bowed out of this last night. But, since it's you, E -- a bonus post!

If the situation were as clear cut and out of line as you describe I would expect the host to send the other guest packing (just as I would expect SI to send someone packing for getting too far out of line).

Then again, we might just seek better company elsewhere.

If we were kinda stuck at the party, I'd make a point of stressing the other guy out.

OK. That's my final word on the subject and I' stickin' to it.
