enigma,

Many suffer from blind faith. Most people follow their religion this way, believing whatever there family predecessors told them, without much investigation (except usually some religious childhood teaching, and some not even that!).

It is not uncommon to hear statements from people about religion, such as, "one must just have faith" or "sometimes we just have to believe". But that mentality is garbage. In fact, if ones belief system can not stand up to the scrutiny of study, the system is worthless. Everyone should understand and believe in their faith because they know it to be 100% correct and true. Anything less, is blind faith, to lesser and greater extents.

Funny thing is, as far as blind faith is concerned, if someone chooses to follow something blindly, thats usually OK (as far as society cares), just as long as the belief they are following is peaceful. But blind faith in Islam is not OK, because its teachings are violent.

That's what distinguishes Islam from other faiths, and why Islam must be handled somewhat differently.

God Bless,
IGIT
