IGIT, I realize this is a bit off topic, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of traffic on this thread anyway, but I have never concurred with the term "blind" faith. I do believe that one must have faith in their beliefs, even if there is no "scientific" proof. There is much more to life, and the education of mankind, than just what is proven by scientific, laboratory, means. My belief in Christianity, was given a physical boot by an event that happened, regardless if that event cannot be proven by a scientific study. I know it happened, beyond a shadow of a doubt, and nothing can change my mind about that.

Otherwise, I do not understand anyone basing the faith that will follow them throughout their lives merely on what they were told as a child. God gives us a brain that grows as we mature, and if we do not use it to the fullest extent we can, we are wasting a precious gift from God.

If blind faith is not harmful, in any way, most will let it proceed unhindered as it poses no danger to society, but when, as you say, the faith of such a large religion as Islam, blatantly espouses the killing of innocent men, women, and children, just because they are citizens of a specific nation, or religion, is not one that can be ignored by any other nation, or religion, on Earth. Who knows who the Imams, and Mullahs, will declare to be their enemies the next time?? Such a situation is as dangerous as nitro glycerin in a wagon on a bumpy road.
