Welcome back, Rambi!

I had such great memories picturing you in Ammo's place trying to interject hygiene into a pig sty. I did the same thing a few years ago when my son was at Holy Cross... it was a parent weekend and M and his three roommates invited us all to their apartment for a visit before the festivities. There was no place to sit...dirty clothes strewn everywhere. There was nothing to eat...the refrig had been broken for days and the remaining food was growing in size. They offered us all a drink because there were plenty of open bottles everywhere...but there were no glasses and the only paper cups were smushed on the floor.

The four sets of parents quietly assessed the situation and determined that it was the other three families that had allowed their sons to learn such horrendous behavior. We smiled and talked about the weather while the boys went to clean up. Since I had checked out the bathroom, I knew they wouldn't get clean there.

After about fifteen anxious minutes, they appeared. Hair combed, clean shirts and ties, creased pants and smelling like Macy's men's cologne counter! They looked great and we were really proud of them. I don't know how they did it, but it worked!

M, by the way, is now married and owns a beautiful home...and he's the one who is obsessed about neatness!

There's hope!
Marie
