However, many people including myself, were sickened by what happened in FL during the national election as we should all be whether we voted for Bush or for Gore.
You were sickened, as was I, but we don't agree about what DID happen. I was sickened by a blatant attempt on the part of the Gore campaign to steal an election.

Oh, stop with the "a good defense is a strong offense"......if there was any stealing of the election, you'd have to talk to Bush and his brother, not Gore. Your comments would be funny if the issue weren't so serious.

I'll never forget Daly's statement when Gore withdrew his concession: "The Campaign Continues" -- this statement, more than any other, foretold what was to come--that the Gore Compaign would continue EVEN THOUGH the election was over. Since everyone already knew that Gore [admittedly] would stop at nothing to become presdient, we knew it would be nasty.

Once again you have that wrong........the only one who apparently would stop at nothing is in the White House.

And what happened in the Sup. Ct was even worse.....its the only major institution in this land that has been mostly above partisan bias............but that does not appear to have been the case in Nov/Dec. 2000.

Those who suggest that the Supreme Court inappropriately handled the matter should state what the alternative should have been.

Some entity had to bring an end to it. When two parties go to a lower court, they by doing so agree that they will accept the outcome determined by the Supreme Court. It was clear that the Court was going to have decide the election, else who would?

Chill Ray, your kind smelled up one of the most venerated institutions in this country. You can say pretty much anything you want re liberals, dems, the Clintons or Gore but keep your duplicitous bs away the Sup. Ct.

Surely, you don't believe that it should have been decided by the partisan determination of the Florida Court.

I think FL should be required to secede and Jeb made president........
