I don't doubt he might think he's on a "mission from God" from time to time, but there are enough checks in the system to offset any excesses.

Yeah, I know that. I'm not so much frightened as just appalled. People with that glassy-eyed, know-it-all, holier-than-thou attitude just don't belong in public service. There are a number of pols with that "look" and it gives me the creeps.
