robert, gems at $53 and gems at $18 produce totally different investor expectations. margins slid last q. a stabilization would mean that gems did a WONDERFUL job of putting the brakes on the slide. this is GREAT! the us market won't improve over night. it will take time.

selling low margin equipment is not all that bad - you just have to sell more. look at the contract manufacturers in the electronics industry. slr has razor thin margins but their stock has performed so well that you would been a genius to buy in a long time ago. me too ;-)

8% q to q eps growth would be GREAT. isn't that like 40%+ annualized? and you'd complain about business "not being together" and flat margins? all this in an $18 stock?

you must be tough to please ;-)

if gems will hit $30-40+ this year then i agree with your assessment.

i'd be extatic with $20-25. i think we'll see it :-)
