I also have some reference on the use of Alzet implantable infusion pump (by Alza) in the delivery of NTs. Lab is busy, so I will post them later. Insteresting thing is the implication of Schwann cells in the abstract. We just got some new fundings from nih to do just that, role of perisynaptic Schwann cells in nerve regeneration and remodeling. Our prelim data showed that they lead nerve terminal regeneration through sprouting... We also got some GDNF knocked out mice from a collaborator, which showed loss of motor neurons (mainly in the cervical segment). This is the only factor that showed loss of motoneuron in KO mice (as far as I know). Other abnormalities are in the GI system, we are looking at it now using EM. Don't have a clue on CTII. I am really getting cold feet on all biotechs compared with silicons. Chuck
