IDT, VoicePump collaborate on voice-enabled gateway platform URL: siliconstrategies.com SANTA CLARA, Calif.--Integrated Device Technology Inc. today announced collaboration with VoicePump Inc. to offer a jointly developed voice-enabled asymmetric digital subscriber line (ADSL) reference platform for customer premises equipment (CPE). The design platform uses IDT's RC32355 integrated communications processor and the VP140 intelligent codec from VoicePump, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of DSP Group Inc. The two Santa Clara-based companies said the two-chip solution will help to simplify development of voice-over-Internet protocol (VoIP) and voice-over-digital subscriber line (VoDSL) products. The 79RP355V reference platform is sampling now, with full production quantities from IDT available in June. The reference platform is priced at $5,000.
