Britain and the US are very close allies. Along with some of your other former colonies, such as Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, the closest we've got. Basically, the US ended up a democracy because Britain was (somewhat partially) one at the time we were British colonies. When push to come shove, you guys stand with us. A fact that we appreciate. And a loyalty that cannot be bought. So next time somebody wants to throw you off your rock, ring us up. |
