GSM-CDMA roaming comes true. 2002-03-12 11:09:12 China Mobile and the Korean KTF Corporation officially signs GSM-CDMA bilateral agreement. It can automatically roam with both kinds of services. This agreement signature, symbolizes that both sides can roam the aspect in the different service patterns. This significant breakthrough also means that China Mobile may already provide the roaming between the GSM-CDMA service patterns. The agreement means China Mobile subscribers may watch sporting events when they travel to Korea for the World Cup. But, this will be a big attack on China Unicom, since China Unicom uses the World Cup as a sales pitch for their new CDMA system. tech.china.com
