Srexley,

I don't condone dishonesty for the sake of skewing a scientific report. But I do understand why guys like that windbag Scott McGinnis make so much of things like this. It's because they don't have anything more serious to whine about in their efforts to end prudent husbandry of the resources of the West on behalf of the Rape & Pillage Crowd.

We'll just have to agree to disagree about how honest the Shrub is. If he were honest, how come the GAO has had to sue the Administration for the first time in history to get some rather tame information? What have Bush and Cheney got to hide? The truth? Or lies and back room special favors handed out to their bribers?

Re: You seem like a smart man, and present your opinions in a forthright way.

Thanks for the compliment. I prefer to be as candid about these matters as possible.

Re: Note that Bush IS doing something about preventing future Enrons.

So far, all we've gotten out of Bush is "happy talk" about what he might or might not do. Seems to depend on the political winds and poll results. Not on what would be moral and ethical. And certainly not what would strip the executives of their ill-gotten gains to compensate the lower level Enron people who lost so much on their pensions.
