Ericsson To Supply IP Routers To Deutsche Telekom

STOCKHOLM -(Dow Jones)- Swedish telecommunications company Telefon AB LM Ericsson (ERICY) said Tuesday that it has received an order from Deutsche Telekom AG (DT) of Germany for the delivery of Internet protocol routers.

No financial details were provided.

Under the agreement, Ericsson will integrate IP routers based on the Juniper Networks M-series platform for the German telecom company's global IP backbone.

Ericsson will deploy its AXI 580 and AXI 520 IP backbone routers, which will be used to extend Deutsche Telekom's IP network

The routers will help Deutsche Telekom to increase bandwidth.

Ericsson said it will also provide installation, implementation, system support and spare parts management.
