Sonny,

An Analyst from Morgan Stanley called for another 20% drop in the DOW. I think it was their Global manager. He was on CNBC late Monday afternoon. He said he reduced his stock exposure by another 5%.

He is now 53% in stocks, 32% in Bonds and 15% in cash. BTW, the 5% stock reduction went to his cash position. Hmm,

This type of in and out and in and out market timing strategy is exactly why 99% of the "experts" can't beat the general indices in the long run. I prefer the Buffet/Lynch philosophies of buying solid companies and selling only when fundamentals deteriorate. This maximizes long term returns while minimizing tax exposures. It also is much less stressful and requires much less guess work and luck.

BTW, I also like an occassional trade but only with a small fraction of my portfolio.

Watch the analysts, fund managers, "experts", etc. keep doing the stock/cash shuffle and watch them continue to underperform the unmanaged indices.

Good luck to all (even the experts who need it most),
