"..if possible.."

==========

Release A Addendum 2 was approved for publication February 8 in Seattle - as I posted at the time. I just posted confirmation in the form of Seattle meeting notes.

The Steering Committee split the sync channel issue from Release A to allow for the Release A vote.

Carriers can instigate 314kbs performance as soon as they can prepare their networks. I suspect Korea to be first later this year (or will blazing fast do upgrades alleviate the need?).

It appears that the sync channel issue may be heading toward a Standard-based solution - see my post today - allowing underachievers MOT and NOK off of the hook. <g> However, a vendor/carrier solution may still be required.. MOT and NOK were lobbying for a solution to be included in a new addendum to Release A.

There is a Steering Committee meeting on the 18-19, which may add light.

Ben
