Perhaps the BOD's (Condit et all) are setting a trap for Wally. Wally gets to shoot his mouth off about how things are going his way and then loses the vote.

If the merger is approved then Wally has lost all his creditability no to mention about $35 million he spent fighting it.

It will be easier to kick a failed Wally off the board.

There are some dangerous currents here and the BOD having pretty good egos are just setting the trap.
