If you want some of our rain, you're welcome to it. Last summer was bad -- you may have read about the drought out here, the farmers breaking the locks on the irrigation ditches when the government tried to cut their water to save it for the salmon suns, and our well even went dry for a bit, had to buy a tanker truck of water from the town (we have a 2,800 gallon storage tank, so we can buy any time we run short) -- but this winter has more than made up for it. We have informal lakes where we've never had them before. And we drilled a new well which came in with a MUCH better water source, so we're fine. All in all, we would love to ship you some of our snowpack before it starts melting and flooding the river basins. Doesn't affect us, there's no river anywhere around here, but lots of farmers and trailer parks get hurt when the rivers overflow the levees or, worse, break through as they did on Fox Island a few years back.
