Nicole: It is not so much that we are in an uptrend as it is traders are beginning to get more optimistic, and focused, on the recovery of the US economy. While first and second quarter numbers will prove to be dismal, all signs point to our economy in recovery ..... and the short term memories of traders for things like the Enron debacle will give way to the hope for strength in the 3rd and 4th quarters ..... which I believe will be very strong.

Before we get a true bull rally, we need the money from the sidelines, and there is no realy indication yet that any significant inflows have been seend ..... at least nothing that I have seen gives that indication. But I also feel that we are getting closer.

Our recovering economy, and slightly better EPS numbers will be all it will take to set the markets on fire again ... and there is certainly some smoke at this point, just no fire in the way of earnings. But it will come.

Even when it does happen, I believe this will remain a stock pickers market for the first couple strong quarters.
