taking a small flyer on Comverse (CMVT) after-market here @ $12.90. they have a +/- $2.4 billion equity market cap at this level, with $1.9 billion in cash and a $600mm convertible sub note out there. cash generation during the bubble years was $104mm in 1998; $177mm in 1999; $244mm in 2000; and they even generated a little this year it seems. have no idea what future cash generation potential is, but it doesn't have to be much to justify current capitalization.
