You're right. LSU #11 was the highest seed to make it to a final 4..... in 86. Wisconsin did it as a #8 seed in 2000.

It pains me to say this but Richmond as a #15 seed beat Syracuse in 91.....I'm a Syracuse grad :( That was the first #15 seed to advance, based on my knowledge.
