I realize I'm probably suffering from a little overexposure here....but I can't help but see a big blood bath should this merger fail.

How does a BOD stay on and work for the enemy victor. answer not these guys ... they're warriors with strong convictions not turncoats.

How does senior management stay. answer... it only stays if it's a cold day in hell

How do 6000 other senior management people feel about losing retention bonuses. answer is they've probably been working towards the merger and now will be viewed with less authority. Resentfulness will prevail for not being able to acquire what's been promised.

Knowing that Walter has supported the breakout of printing and imaging how do the other 52% of HP's employees care about working for a company that is about to break up. The answer is that they had better be looking for jobs...and hope their HP jobs lasts until they find another.

From my perspective CPQ looks in better shape alone then HP would be alone.
