True, but the $3 to $4 in avoided royalties to the US government taxpayer is the issue, and that is regardless of type of crude. That's the crime of it.

I worked with crude oil as part of a VC investment in a new type of nutating pump invention. Amazing stuff. Hazardous, with hundreds of chemical components, depending on where it came from.
