Anandtech and Tom's Hardware review the recent Athlon XP 2100+. Their results are fairly flattering.

Kudos to Anand for the scalability graphs. I find them quite interesting, since on a Mhz-Mhz scale, the Athlon would be outscaling the Pentium 4. As it is, the model numbers scale closely with Intel's megahertz. I have to say I'm surprised. Perhaps it's because the front side bus is getting saturated in terms of transaction requests. Perhaps the lower latency on a 533MHz FSB will improve Pentium 4 scalability. Given the contenders in the Tom's Hardware review, he should have been the one to include such graphs. However, it seems his site is a lot less imaginative these days.
