"There are no orders for CDMA handsets. I believe China Unicom does not have orders as well," she said Haier is one of the 19 licensed manufactures of CDMA handsets. It has an annual production capacity of 5 mln CDMA handsets. Yang said the company had so far only produced "a few hundred" CDMA handsets for China Unicom to test its network. ======= China Unicom tests Haier handsets and doesn't order any more. So Haier says Unicom doesn't have orders for CDMA handsets. There are 19 licensed manufactures of CDMA handsets but 19 will not get orders. The losers will say there is no market demand for CDMA.
