Here's a sobering reminder o' the way it TRULY is N Silver Mkt n2 which BAY thinks its going to come out and save the world from perceived shortages in the stinkly little white metal... 23 February, 2002 Sunshine on the ropes Sunshine Mining (OTCBB:SSMR) said yesterday it has used its credit facility to mothball the famous Sunshine Mine on Big Creek up in the Silver Valley. It has also put its Pirquitas Mine in Argentina on care and maintenance, and is in danger of essentially ending all corporate operations because of low silver prices and lack of cash. funny how that seems to always go together. The century-old mining company said it can continue in this “severely curtailed” state only if it receives continued advances from lenders, or silver prices climb, or one of the properties is sold. Sunshine emerged from bankruptcy just last year.
