The idiots who waste their time decrying "corporate criminals" were all perfectly happy to have a president who committed the most flagrant crimes in history... Not everyone who decries corporate fraud is a Democrat, nor did they all vote for Clinton. For the record, I have never voted other than Republican in any election, with the mild exception of one time for a school board - and then only because the Republican candidate knew as much about education as any student at nursery school. As for loser pays, now THAT's more like it. That's a perfectly fair and reasonable reform I would absolutely support, but this legislation is ridiculous. I would think that this thread, which I would imagine is peopled by not a few Republicans, would be loathe to support the federal government's power at the expense of the states. I thought Democrats - certainly not Republicans - were known for their love of federal power, oversight and control?
