Well, fiber will certainly give you lots of bandwidth to work with, that's for sure. If they are still working on the system and it's new, then the problems are understandable.

Yes, you can pull down your Yahoo mail into Outlook just as if it's coming from an ISP. And you can have multiple accounts in Outlook too, so I have one for Comcast and one for Yahoo. When Outlook goes out and checks for new mail every 5 minutes, it checks both accounts. If I get a notification from Yahoo Messenger that I have an email at my Yahoo account, I just click Send/Receive and go retrieve it immediately if I want. The only downside is that Yahoo adds the following blurb to the bottom of every e-mail you send. But heck, I don't have to look at it. : )
