thames, I think you are totally wrong here. The kidnappers of Pearl would have killed him no matter what the US was doing, IMO. What about the poor US guy who fell out of a helicopter and was promptly executed. Where was the Geneva convention there? The guys in Guantanamo are being given medical treatment for injuries and illnesses not even related to the war. Also, coming from a Brit, after the way the IRA was treated in the internment camps, I really don't believe you (and me, for that matter) have the moral high ground to criticize US treatment of prisoners.
