Vietnam has nothing to do with afgan. Nam was 32 years ago. The things you say about certain disadvantages are true, but I take issue with the idea that our soldiers aren't 'suited" for fighting anywhere. We'll adapt and overcome. Hell, if it meant we had to go into the hollars of WestVA. and get some of the coal miners and their bluetick coon dogs to go, we would. They love to have a good old shoot em up in the mountains. Believe me, our soldiers are the best on the planet. I don't know about believing the tactical withdrawal stories, the sources it's coming from to me are basically anti american. I don't know why people are so ready and willing to believe anything that is written negatively about us, the troops, the mission. It's almost as if some people are waiting on baited breath for the first few words of blah blah, so they can run and tell everyone, "see see I told you so", and so far almost none of the negative stuff has been true at all. People need to step back and think about things a little more thoroughly, there's a lot more to what goes on that what some silly reporter tells you.
