Looks like there really is not much going on today since there is an old fashioned school boy food fight going on. I remember enjoying those as a kid but always got my ass whomped, by folks at home whether it happened at home or at school. In the meantime we just watch the lemmings run. During January and February they had record sales, but now their business has dropped to bottom levels. Looking at a couple of web surveys and reading local and national news gives me opinion that by and large the people of the USA have largely put 9/11 behind them, and of course Battafuklia and crew keep urging us to buy these bargain stocks. The article in Time this week puts forth the case that war with Iraq within the year is reasonably assumable to be a forgone conclusion. Can anyone see event risk in this market? After selling out to the steel interests in Michigan,etc, with tarrifs and then selling out to the Hispanic vote in forgiving alien status for all illegal aliens Bush now has to reckon with the the colossal embarassment of visas for the WTC bombers being approved now. I thought until now that he had been doing a fairly credible job with a huge set of problems of historic proportions. I see no bargains in any stocks, even most of the golds I own/follow now up to fully valued positions, that is until the next event, combustive or Japanese in origin.
