So if I read the chart correctly, the VIX is suggesting we are entering a high, or even topped. Looking at August and September 2000 the VIX dropped below the –20% mark as the price was peaking. The July – August 1999 VIX was also peaking. The VIX would not have told me to buy in November 1999. But it does suggest selling in April 2000. BWDIK Stan bigcharts.marketwatch.com
