VR Zone has more info on ATI chipsets. It looks like ATI is positioning their Athlon chipsets to be low end. The model numbers are smaller and the core clock speed (Northbridge + video) are also lower that P4 equivalents: vr-zone.com

Interesting approach. In the Athlon market, where they need strong product to prevent nVidia from kicking their butt, they have a weak product, and in Intel market, with no nVidia, they have a stronger product.

Good thing I sold my ATI shares 1 day after I bought them (thanks to Pravin for recommendations to buy).
