On the JLA suspension...

some of the problem words were 'wackjob,' 'scuzzball,' and 'nancyboy.'

I believe the reason that JLA was suspended was a post that was interpreted as a threat. It was the one that included "I am taking the gloves off now," or similar. Long ago "Solon" was bounced for a similar post.

This is obviously a point of great sensitivity to SI ... posts that are interpreted as a personal threat directed specifically against another poster.

When I saw that particular JLA post I remember thinking that there would be trouble for him.

Obviously, there is wide room for disagreement over what words constitute a "threat", as well as over the severity of punishment for a possible offense.
