Indeed it protects us from government intrusion- and that is a Good Thing I am sure you realize it is not intended to make everyone accept everything or what would the right of free association mean? for protection from bad behavior we must rely on society, and business, and the myriad structures below the governmental level most of the time those structures do a decent job, but not all the time SI could use a little more structure in that department, imo opinions of course could differ on that, and I realize that
