For those of you who don't know Andrew Chan, he is a long-time Fool and a buy-side analyst. He believes in making use of all the valuation tools available and cuts no corners in arriving at highly detailed assumptions. The results provide him a range of stock values from which he comes to conclusions. He believes the assumptions about a company's future fundamentals are much harder to arrive at than running a stock valuation, which of course is inextricably linked with the assumptions of the fundamentals.

The first part of the post accessed by the second link shown below provides some important context to the assumptions in the post accessed by the first link. Anyone interested in Siebel and stock valuation should read both, in my opinion. Anyone not interested in valuation should ignore the posts.
