I am smiling at your getting weepy over your son's part in Mame--- you are starting the graduation blues! I recognize the symptoms, having been there twice. It's a very unsettling time, a big confusing stew of sorrow and happiness-- sudden emotional memories of the child who was, joy at who he has become, and such hope for where he will go, all mingling with a pervasive sense of loss. They practically had to carry me out of a senior choir concert when CW had a two line solo. I am not a graceful weeper. Be kind to yourself- and take a break from the things that upset you unnecessarily. SI is entertainment. It's not the real thing and definitely not worth the agony it seems to have caused recently. By the way, I've been to LA 7 times since 9-11 and go again Sunday and it has been fine. Not a single problem. ALthough I am concerned that they might think Ammo's bass drum pedal that he insists on taking back to school is some new form of terrorist weaponry.
