Chris, if I am not mistaken stocks usually do ok in the summer. I'll have to check historically. August is certainly a down month volume-wise, I would think.

Meanwhile April 10-15th (tax refund time starts and/or payments checks often out of the way) is sometimes a boost time in the Market. I don't make many predictions anymore because news can happen so fast. My next watch is whether there are lots of positive pre-announcements and then good earnings by key stocks.
