The conference isn't all that significant to me unless they get some media attention out of it. What is significant to me is that the study apparently concluded that Zicam was effective on subjects who were known to have a rhinovirus. If the study didn't conclude that Zicam was effective, why would it have been submitted for publication and why is it being presented at the conference? If the subjects weren't known to have a rhinovirus, why did the press release say they did? Of course one can't draw a conclusion about the validity of the research until they read it. I will reserve judgement on that until I read the paper when it is available. If you were reasonable, you would do the same thing instead of concluding that the research is rotten before you have even seen it. I already explained the other things that I think are significant about this new study. If it was positive like I believe, and the subjects were known to have a rhinovirus like the press release said, I think it portends other things in the works that Mr. Johnson eluded to in a prior press release including a partnership and expanded distribution both domestically and internationally.
